(2022); also this revolves around a particular inflammatory issue and hides what it's about for the first half or so.

This resolving to the topic of vaccines is inflammatory for sure.

Medicine and science = good. Force feeding and shaming people into changing their behavior != good. Also, not science... only a very flaccid form of fascism.

Some days it feels as if everyone I meet has never learned how to wrestle with paradox or exercise Yeats "negative capability." (Note: I am not an artist. Just human doing human things.)

The rapid increase in flag creases have caught many off guard and pushed them into feeling they must support things they don't actually support.

Flag creases? What do you mean?

Paid actors order flags off the web and don't use them except once or twice so you always see visible creases from how they were folded for shipping.

I dont abide in any particular worldview... ideology is for campers. But, this article is interesting for its discussion of cognitive framing.

You’re better off reading Lakoff directly than this opinionated take on one facet of his work.

Of course. Source materials are critical. I used to be diligent about this. Way back when a friend told me I read for pleasure (this was never true, escapism at best but more likely an adaptation), which I naturally took as an affront and a challenge... The past 5 or 6 years or so I've made a conscious decision to firehose myself and study the effect on my consciousness. It has been fun and interesting to say the least but, non plus ultra.
