For the freedom it would be better to break from the Google for example. However I really cheer them for it, it will fail, because Linux and open office are not replacements for normal office work.

as with the 27391692 times it was tried since the late 90s, the eu commission will drag it's feet and they will revert to Microsoft.

You could say the software giant has colonized the country and is actively refusing to leave after subjugating the government.
