A eureka project is when someone has a eureka moment, writes a project in a relatively short amount of time, and it explodes in popularity yet retians longevity.
An example is git, written in a couple weeks and became the primary vcs today.
What are other examples?

P2p, Bitcoin and other tools from cryptography. Rest of Mathematics. Religions, especially Islam. Inventing a wheel. Maybe even inventing a stick. So, almost anything fits.
