Pinta - free, open-source program for drawing and image editing

MS Paint was lightweight and single-purpose. It was easy to wield like a kitchen utensil. Was it really necessary to discontinue MS Paint, the app was barely a few hundred kilobytes.

Glad to have found Pinta and it works and feels just right.
