Chinese exporters 'wash' products in third countries to avoid Trump's tariffs

Tariffs will be a huge opportunity for laundering - and even outright smuggling - of desired products. It's probably ancient history now for most people on HN but back in the Iron Curtain days, items which were forbidden for the people to buy acquired a premium, sometimes because of the prohibition more than anything else.
