Still possible to ride steam train in Russia: https://naparovoze.ru/ (from Moscow or St. Petersburg to Karelia).

I believe there's also a steam train router around lake Baikal.

Many countries have that but what is unique about this is that it was a freight service, perhaps the last of its kind.
